Rules
Duration
Olympic Games Basketball fantasy will start in the second half of July 2024 and will last until 10th August. The schedule of the competition you can see here.
Competition System
The competition consists of total 6 rounds:
- three group rounds (6 games each)
- quarter-finals round (4 games)
- semi-finals round (2 games)
- finals and the third place match (2 games)
Players
Positions
Every player in the league is assigned exactly one of the following five positions:
- Point Guard - PG
- Shooting Guard - SG
- Small Forward - SF
- Power Forward - PF
- Center - C
Some players can play at multiple positions or change their role during the tournament. However, players in the fantasy will not change positions in the tournament. We will do our best to assign a position where the player will spend most of the time during the tournament.
Scoring
- Player score is equal to the index rating (eff column) of the player in the round.
- If the game is postponed and affects the next round schedule, players will get their average season score rounded down.
- After the end of group stage, and after the end of quarter finals some teams will end tournament. In the further tournament stages, score of players from these teams will be 0.
Price
- The expected price of the player is equal to [5 · AverageIndex] rounded to the closer number.
- Player price can change up to 10% after each round. At some point, usually at the beginning, players may not have the expected price.
- Price of players who will end tournament after group stage of quarter finals will be unchanged.
Team Management
- Each user can create at most 2 teams.
- Team consists of 10 different players, two players at each of the five positions (PG, SG, SF, PF, C).
- At the beginning you are given 450 credits to create a team. Your team value will follow the price change of your players.
- At most three substitutions are allowed after every round. After group stage and quarter finals you will still have 3 substitutions.
- Teams will be locked 15 minutes before the start of the first game in the round.
- Team score is equal to the sum of the scores of all players in the round.
Private League
- Each user can participate in as many private leagues as he is invited. However, each user can create at most one private league.
- You can join a specific private league with at most one team.
Standings
- After each round, we will publish standings.
- The tournament standings will be calculated as the sum of scores in all the rounds.
- If two teams have the same score, the one with more credits will be ranked higher on the standings.
